BRIDCON, the right choice in business and management consulting and advisory services
Using knowledge and technology, BRIDCON designs and implements advanced strategic and tactical management solutions, ensuring sustainable growth in competitive and challenging environments. We support executives and companies to increase revenues and supercharge performance, evolving and adapting to a continuously changing market.
Business growth is not a chance or a costly trial and error, resource-wasting exercise; but the result of observing human behaviour and making sense of meaningful data.
Our clients
Our clients are like you – intelligent growth-oriented people who are sometimes so wrapped up in the business of business, they find it hard to stop and evaluate their next steps. They may feel that something is not quite right, but can’t put their finger on it. At BRIDCON we specialise in completely understanding our clients. You can be confident we’ll help identify problems, develop solutions and get you moving forward with strategies and plans that are tailored precisely to your needs and budgets.
BRIDCON uses data and human science to help companies grow. We research how executive decisions are made and how these are reflected in customer choices. Understanding not just how people behave, but why they behave in specific ways, gives you the power to move forward with confidence.
Startups
BRIDCON customises its services and deliverables carefully. We match our offering to your startup vision, whatever stage your business is at. Over the last seven years at BRIDCON we’ve taken great pride in having helped more than 30 new entrepreneurs take their businesses successfully to the next stage.
Startups
Recent studies have identified six types of startups, all of which can benefit from targeted professional support:
- Lifestyle Startups– businesses born out of passion and often the entrepreneurs’ own lifestyle and ambitions. We have designed and implemented strategies for health monitoring or improving apps, online crafting shops, wellbeing apps, to name a few examples.
- Small Business Startups– often starting with a very small group of people, possibly even just one. Typically, this could be jewellery making, artisan baking, or interior design. However, this includes any business venture and can equally well cover specialist professionals as well.
- Scalable Startups– often a new tech business with a unique offering that is suited to rapid expansion. Funding is a particular issue here, as profits may be slow to materialise. There’s also an overlap with Buyable Startups, below.
- Buyable Startups– this mainly refers to apps or e-commerce website projects, or anything digital, and are companies that are founded on the basis of creating mass appeal products or services, which, having gained traction, can be sold on.
- Large Company Startups– existing companies with a new subsidiary for a new product, or sometimes an enterprise-scale launch, such as in the electric vehicle market. At the heart of their proposition is a new concept and continuous innovation.
- Social Startups– driven by the need for social justice and equality of opportunity, frequently identified with particular communities; sometimes crowd funded or with substantial donations from philanthropists.
It can be misleading to assume these categories are always distinct, and one of our skills is in being able to create a clear vision out of what can seem to be overwhelming complicated.
In the UK, 20% of startups fail in the first year and approximately 60% fail within the first three years. Some of these projects may have been doomed to fail, especially if they were based mainly on little more than the enthusiasm of their founders. But most fail for avoidable reasons: naive business plans, poor grasp of financial planning, not properly understanding their market and failing to collect and use data. Further, any new business without an emergency plan will struggle when hit by unexpected circumstances.
With real insights into the way people and businesses function, BRIDCON has helped startups launch successfully in challenging markets, and we have helped many struggling startups find their feet.

SMEs
Small or Medium Sized Enterprises face multiple pressures, and these can be at any stage in the company’s development. Typical for an SME may be the focus on maintaining its place in a market, rather than the exponential growth often sought by startups.
SMEs
However, the underlying challenges may be similar and an SEM is equally vulnerable to systemic failings or weak decision-making. It remains true, of course, that an SME must also consider the need to be generating a steady return for shareholders. This can be an opportunity as well as a challenge – the momentum required to keep going can be a powerful tool for change – but it become doubly necessary be really clear about expectations and to be completely honest about internal weaknesses.
If you run an SME you’ll be familiar with the challenges of finding the time to respond to today’s demands and plan effectively for tomorrow at the same time. You will know in your heart that you need to invest the time, but you still struggle to find it when dealing with short-term details.
This is where BRIDCON can help. Our understanding of business cycles, business best practice, and changing markets gives us a rare depth of insight into which business models work best. It means we are well placed to help identify opportunities, find new clients, penetrate new markets and develop new products to establish new revenue streams. We’ll support your market activities and at the same help you improve the quality of decision making – all with the aim of ensuring your business is more purposeful and more profitable.
Our principal services for SMEs include:
- Business strategy and planning
- Sales Management
- Marketing and Digital
- Technology and Intelligence
And because BRIDCON combines thorough data analysis with behavioural science, we are able to understand causality properly. Our approach is to understand not just what a problem is, but its cause as well. Surprisingly, this is an often-ignored aspect in consulting practices, and we have found that it affords real insights into how to formulate future strategies.
Good quality data is at the heart of good quality decisions. Data analysis uncovers real-time hidden patterns, correlations, trends and customer preferences that guide organisations to make intelligent informed choices. Taking decisions without data makes everything an opinion.
Data on its own, however, is not enough or misleading. It is essential to understand human behaviour to fully understand not just customers, but also the dominant mindsets within your own business. An under-resourced R&D department, for example, will be as demotivated as a sales team overwhelmed by paperwork. A marketing team which is supported with accurate attribution for leads and sales, on the other hand, can outperform a bigger rival that can’t track the impact of what it does.
Our understanding of human behaviour helps our clients to close the gap between customer expectation and reality; decision-makers can create easier customer journeys and remain better connected to target audiences.
Following a diagnosis and recommendations, our intervention empowers businesses to take more effective control of their future. No longer will they be hoping things will go as planned – they will be equipped to map out their route and transform their activities so that strategies become meaningful and purposeful. Stakeholders become empowered and challenges are mere easily overcome.
Put simply, we transform businesses by creating robust and sophisticated solutions that can be implemented without fuss.
